WE ARE CRAFF-ACPM
CRAFF-ACPM is the Costa Rican Association of Fly Fishers. It was founded in 2015 as an organization by sportsmen with a passion for the sport of fly fishing and an interest in the environment. As friends of conservation, CRAFF-ACPM members are keenly dedicated to the Catch-and-Release of fish.
Through our organization, we reach out to those with interest in our sport. Our members plan fly fishing trips within and beyond our borders. We also get together to tie flies, share techniques and to discuss the environment as well as the access to and conservation of water resources.
As part of our renewed goals for CRAFF-ACPM, we began in 2019 and 2020 with a plan to grow our association. This is achieved via monthly meetings as well as workshops designed to introduce the sport, or rather the fly fishing lifestyle, to the general public. These workshops offer brief instruction in how to cast a fly rod as well as stations for learning fly tying including the why’s and how’s of this art. We also offer the public certain themes like conservation of habitat as well as an introduction to our national species. Information about our upcoming event is found in the calendar section of this page as well as at our page on Instagram @acpm_craff.
